It’s hard to believe it’s been two weeks since my departure from American University. It was a bittersweet parting but with each passing day I am more affirmed in my decision. With impending deadlines for the second series of Ana & Andrew, and the forthcoming series, Sheroes: Real Wonder Women in History, to say that my plate is full would be an understatement. Overflowing would be more accurate, and believe me–I am thankful.
But aside from working on my manuscripts, much of my time has been spent nesting and resting. I’ve caught up on a number of household tasks and projects that I’d delayed for months. I’ve organized and donated numerous home goods. And slept. I’ve been sleeping. A lot.
The past two weeks have been reminiscent of the time when I was preparing for the birth of my daughter. The cleaning, the organizing, the prioritizing. And perhaps, most importantly, allowing my mind and body to rest as I prepared for the next phase of my life.
As I continue to nest and rest, I have no idea what I am about to birth and/or manifest creatively. But I am eager to find out. And I am grateful to have the time and space to do so.
Anxiously awaiting life’s next adventure!
